We are excited to host our first-ever Yogathon on April 23 at The Women's Building. And we are proud to introduce one of our volunteer yoga teachers, Ainka J. Fulani

What do you love most about yoga?
Perhaps what I love most about yoga is that it meets one where they are and can give them what they need. Utilizing movement, breath and focusing our attention we can get a sense of calm, build strength, alleviate pain, manage stress, process trauma - all in a way that can help us live with more openness and ease off the mat!

Why are you volunteering to teach yoga for the PPS-SF Yogathon?
The practice of yoga has been such a gift to me! I jumped at that the opportunity to share it with a wider audience in a setting that supports the hard work of parents, children, and educators.

Yogathon highlights
  • Kids are free with their grown-ups
  • $25 in advance; $35 at the door for adults
  • Take one class or stay all day
  • No one turned away for lack of funds
  • Yogis of all levels are welcome
  • All proceeds will directly go to PPS-SF to fund our enrollment, parent leadership training, policy work, and more
